SmartViews - How To - Add Data Connections

How to Add a data connection?

Step 1 : Login to SmartViews and select Designer tab and Click on "Add" a data connection

Info
Currently, Smartviews support the following data connection:
  1. Microsoft SQL server
  2. MS Access
  3. MS Excel
  4. Oracle
  5. ODBC
  6. Lillyworks
  7. PostgreSQL
Step 2:  After selecting a data type, provide the connection details

TroubleShooting

If a data connection is successful in Test Connection but doesn't show up as an accessible connection in the drop-down list for a report, the issue may be with user security permissions. In the designer, go to the Security tab and see if the connection is checked in the Connection Options drop-down for the user.
