SmartViews Network Requirements

SmartViews Network Requirements

In addition to connecting to other databases to view their data, SmartViews also needs to be able to connect to a designated SmartViews database in order to run. This SmartViews database stores the data in SmartViews, such as user accounts, Views, layouts, scripts, and connection information. This database does NOT store any of the data that displays in your Views, Reports, and Dashboards, as all of that data remains squarely in your own database that you're connected to at that moment.

There is also an SMTP component to SmartViews, so access to port 587 is also required. SmartViews uses the server at https://api.sendgrid.com/ to send emails.
