How to disable syncing for a user
A user may want to disable their ability to sync if they're working on changes that they don't want to go out to everyone just yet. To do this, open up regedit and go to the following path:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\SynergyResources\Products\SmartViews
Add/modify the DisableSync string with the value "true" to disable syncing.
When you open SmartViews with syncing disabled, you will receive this error message:
To re-enable sync, simply change the registry value to "false".
