Prerequisites

1. Visual 9.0 or later
   
2. Database platform: SQL Server 2012 or later
3. .NET Framework 4.6.2 or later
   
4. IIS 8 or later
5. Synergy Macro Server

Installer

1. Use the following link to download the setup file
2. Run SynergyUniPointConnectorSetup.exe
   
3. Click Next
   
   
   
4. Verify that the Macro Server Folder path is set to the root directory of Macro Server. Set the Visual Mfg path to the location of the executables where the toolbar icons will be stored globally.
   
   
   
5. Click Install
   
   
   
6. Click Finish to complete the installation
   
   
   
7. Navigate to the UniPointConnector folder in the root directory of Macro Server. It should look like this.
   

Macros

1. Go to the Macros folder
   
2. Copy the VMS files to either the Application Directory, Local Directory or if you are using VEScripts to the default policy folder. You may also load the stub files into the Visual Database.
   
   
   
3. Run Synergy Macro Editor
   
4. Go to File -> Import -> SRI Script
   
   
   
5. Select UnipointMacros.xml from the Macros folder to import the uniPoint macros into Macro Server
   
   

Database Scripts

1. Go to the Database folder
   
   
   
2. Open SRI_UNIPOINT_SETTINGS_CREATE.sql and run it against your Visual database.
   
3. Open SRI_UNIPOINT_TOOLBAR_SETUP.sql and run it against your Visual database. Verify that the @DIRECTORY variable is a directory path that ends with a backslash.
   

Connection Setup

1. Open Customer Order Entry in Visual
   
2. Run the uniPoint Options macro
   
   
   
3. Enter your uniPoint configuration credentials and click OK
   
   

Validation

1. Open uniPoint
   
2. Find or create an NC record with an Item specified. Copy the Item value, and take note of the NC No.
   
   
   
3. Close uniPoint
4. In Visual, open Part Maintenance
   
5. Copy the Item value into the Part ID field
   
6. Click the uniPoint Records for Part toolbar item
   
   
   
7. The Synergy uniPoint Connector window should pop up with a list of associated records
   
8. Click NC on the left and look for the matching NC No field
   
9. Double-click the the NC No. This should reopen uniPoint and automatically pull up to the appropriate NC record.
